General Do's & Don'ts
- Welcome to our Apartment.
- We hope you found it clean and tidy.
- Before you read the general apartment information, please take some time to read the Do's and Don'ts below.
- Do put clean bedding on the beds on the day you leave. You can leave the washed bedding on the drying racks in the living room if you have an early flight and no time to dry it outside.
- Do turn off all power extension sockets, unplug the boiler and make sure the water tap to the boiler is turned to off when you leave. These Spanish boilers are notorious for leaking and as we have no one here most of the year, a leak could cause significant damage both to us and the nice lady below.
- Do make sure that when you leave (and also overnight and in high winds) that the sun canopy is pulled back in fully (retracted back). They can be really noisy if left out and if you’ve left it out when you leave it could cause months of irritation to the neighbours and if we don’t know it’s been left out we won’t know to get let someone know to go and pull it in.
- Do place the blankets provided over the sofa backs and seats to avoid your sun cream staining or soaking into the upholstery. A blanket is easy to wash and replace….an entire sofa isn’t.
- Do ensure you leave a decent supply of basics in the apartment (loo roll, toilet cleaning stuff, water, tea, coffee, a full unopened long life milk, butter with a long expiry in the fridge and a loaf of bread in the freezer etc.) Basically if there was some there when you arrived and you’ve used it…then replace it. There’s nothing worse than getting here when the shops are shut and you can’t eat or drink anything and there’s no loo roll!!!!
- Do keep the air con on cool between 23-24c do not go higher than 24c as it will freeze the unit and you’ll have to fork out to get it repaired.
- Don’t have the downstairs air conditioners running all night, they are very noisy for the neighbours who may be trying to sleep and electric here is an absolute fortune! Have it going for about 30 minutes before you go to bed to chill the room and then turn it off.
- Don’t leave the apartment bins full. Empty all bins and take all rubbish down to the skips located on the car park opposite in front of the complex. It may be months and months before anyone else comes in to the apartment after you and rotting food in the bins is not a nice welcome. Bizarrely the cleaner will not take rubbish down to the bins…not in her job description!
